Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 18+ months of experience in interventional cardiology, STEMI procedures, and EP devices for a 13-week contract at a short-term acute care hospital.
Short-term acute care hospital setting within a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab
Procedures include cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, STEMI intervention, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, rotablader atherectomy, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring
Structural heart procedures include TAVR, Watchman, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure (preferred)
EP procedures include ablations, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, EP evaluation, and AICD insertion/programming (preferred)
Peripheral and vascular procedures include angioplasty, carotid stenting, renal artery stent placement, and upper/lower extremity angiography (preferred)
Cerner EMR; experience required
Siemens equipment preferred
4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-call required: approximately 10 shifts per month, including weekend call
Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required of all travelers
Local candidates (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Allied position
Requirements
Minimum of 18 months of Cath Lab experience required; 2+ years preferred
Strong hands-on experience with interventional cardiology and STEMI procedures required
Comfort and proficiency with EP devices is a hard requirement
Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT(R) certifications required; AHA and RQI accepted and must be current
Valid Indiana or Compact state license required; pending license considered if application has already been submitted
Cerner EMR experience required
2 supervisor references required for consideration
SSN and DOB required for consideration
License required if applicable
Additional Information
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO may be auto-approved; additional RTO requires facility approval
Any current or past permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month break before being eligible to apply as a traveler
Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset travel eligibility; contact your recruiter for details
Out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break to reset eligibility prior to reaching the traveler year mark
