- Inspect and serve special diet trays to residents, following portion control guidelines.
- Prepare cold dishes, bakery items, and salads.
- Cook hot foods as instructed by Supervisors, maintaining culinary practices and food safety standards.
- Follow food service timelines diligently.
- Offer substitute food options to residents who decline regular menu choices.
- Assist in food preparation for special events and activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas.
- Help with food inventory and restocking processes.
- Meet all state and federal in-service requirements.
- Able to perform job functions with or without accommodations
- Effective communication skills for written and verbal directions
- Strong customer service abilities
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Capability to work independently with excellent time management
- Minimum one year of food preparation experience in a related field
- Preferably a culinary background
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

The Cook position is vital to our team's success and our goal of creating a welcoming environment for our residents.
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare various food items including cold dishes, bakery goods, and salads. Additionally, the Cook may be required to prepare hot meals based on business demands.
All food preparation must adhere to current federal, state, and local regulations, along with company policies.
