- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting.
- Proficient in phlebotomy.
- CPR certification.
- 1-year experience in a medical office preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, responsible, detail-oriented.
- Greet patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Monitor flow in waiting for areas and exam rooms, and make patients and team members aware of any delays.
- Perform medical assistant duties including blood draws and other ophthalmic diagnostic tests in a safe and efficient manner.
- Escort patients to exam rooms.
- Assist physicians during patient exams.
- Document patient encounters in EMR.
- Restocking of exam/procedure rooms.
