    Description

    REQUIREMENT:

    • As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will work with the team to design, develop and support industrial automation systems.
    • Define specifications for and develop machine programs.
    • Develop application-specific software related to the project.
    • Experience with programming languages IEC object-oriented extension), C#, Python, VB, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C++.
    • Familiarity with networks such as RS232/485, DeviceNet, Modbus/TCP, ProfiNet, Sercos, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, and network evaluation tools.
    • Understanding of PLCs, motion control, coordinated motion control of multiple axis, robotics, distributed I/O, Fieldbus systems, and HMI technologies.
    • Fanuc is our primary line; we will use other brands as needed to fit specific applications.
    • Familiarity with vision systems and artificial intelligence systems.
    • Well-versed with Servo, Motion Control, and Machine Control products and lab equipment.
    • Experienced in Tuning Servo Loop Gains (Position and Speed).
    • Experienced with Electrical Noise analysis, grounding, and shielding techniques.
    • Participate in the selection of motion control products related to projects.
    • Design electrical panels using AutoCAD, Solidworks Electrical, or other software. Create schematics suitable for RFQs to panel shops or in-house panel buildings.
    • Some travel is required to commission systems and help with site surveys when it benefits a project using automation.
    • Support project proposals and estimation.
    • Stay up to date on technology.
