Position Description. An Electrician in the Residential division of Baker Electric, Inc.

• Des Moines, IA, will be responsible for install or repairing existing electrical systems within homes or multiple dwelling buildings.

This could include partnering with general contractors on new residences or being sent out to individual residences for repair and service.

*Must be willing to join IBEW Local Union 347.*Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, maintain and test residential electrical systems in full support of Baker Electric's safety and operational objectivesUse power and hand tools to install residential power and lighting systems including single family and multifamily occupancies.

Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and work with team to determine needs and materialsSchedule jobs according to materials, job lists and customer expectationsTravel to various project sites to resolve issues or develop a deeper understanding of the project and any issues at the point of installationMaintain confidentiality of work and any Baker Electric project knowledgeEscalate critical and/or sensitive issues to Project Managers or company leaders with recommendation for resolutionOther related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS.
