- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and screenings, including examinations for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the use of dental aids.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
- Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in evaluating dental conditions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided.
- Uphold infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
