    Description

    Dubak Electrical Group is looking to hire an experienced Fleet/Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This individual needs to be knowledgeable with all aspects of fleet/equipment repairs and preventative maintenance of our company vehicles.

    Fleet/Equipment Mechanics daily duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Vehicle inspections to determine operating conditions such as leaks, brakes, lights, tires, heat/AC, fluid levels and general appearance issues
    • Perform thorough preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, such as oil changes, coolant flushes, brake jobs, tire rotations, tire plugging, filter changes, and minor mechanical issues
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues throughout the fleet to determine if issues can be repaired in-house
    • Outfit vehicles with truck boxes, shelving units, ladder racks, bulk heads, and other accessories we install on our vehicles
    • Conduct general aerial lift maintenance on scissor lifts and booms. Inspect and maintain deep cycle batteries, water levels, clean terminals, keeping tight connections, greasing as needed, repairing minor mechanical and cosmetic issues. Keeping lifts clean and charged, ready to be delivered (annual inspections should be an outside source)
    • Perform basic hydraulics filter changes and cylinder/piston rebuilds
    • Repair basic power tools, such as power cords, brushes, switches, and basic trouble shooting
    • Report all mechanical or maintenance issues to Fleet Supervisor and work closely to keep vehicles operating with minimal interruptions
    • Be timely and able to work Monday-Friday 6:00 am-3:30 pm, with occasional weekend work, as needed
    Qualifications/Skills Needed:
    • Excellent knowledge of motor technology and practical skills
    • ASE Certified, preferred
    • Proficient communication skills and ability to follow instructions
    • Problem solving skills are a must
    • Own basic mechanical tools
    • Ability to perform basic welding skills
    • Must be detailed oriented and thorough with all work performed
