About the Company and Opportunity:

• CFS is partnering with a top client in engineering to hire an additional Project Accountant to join their team and work from their Catonsville, MD office. They are looking to have this employee start on a contractual basis and become permanent fairly quickly if they are the right fit.

This person will work with a very supportive, tight knit team working with multiple project managers and processing cash receipts, managing AR, general ledger, financial accounting and reporting, bank reconciliations, billing, collections, and month and year end.

Overview of the Role:

• This position will begin within a week of an offer and can become permanent for the right candidate
• 100% in office in Catonsville, MD. This position will not be remote. After training, they are open to a hybrid schedule
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30PM or 8:30-5:30pm with a one hour lunch. Can be flexible if needed

Ideal Candidate for this Position:

• Must be very competent with billing, collections, and cash receipts
• Detail oriented, self motivated, and excellent communication skills
• Possesses multitasking abilities, excellent problem solving and decision making skills and is able to work in a fast paced environment
• Analytical mindset and time management abilities
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to take on any challenge
• Must enjoy working with a variety of personalities

Qualifications for the Project Accountant:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related or pursuing degree highly preferred
• 5-8 years of accounting experience ideally in billing and collections
• Intermediate Excel knowledge is required. Knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas is a plus
• Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a plus, but not required
• Experience in the engineering, construction, or professional service industry a plus
