    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DIRECTROATE (N8), BUDGET (N81), NWCF POM/BUDGET (N812) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND
    Duties


    • You will serve as the senior liaison for budget; accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
    • You will Direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
    • You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
    • You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; develop format and content to provide managers with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.
    • You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
    • You will prepare or reviews responses to reviews or audits; e.g., FMB, GAO, DODIG etc

    • This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d
    This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines
    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Mastery experience conducting financial studies and analyses
    Mastery experience using databases and financial spreadsheets for metrics tracking, trend analysis, identifying shortfalls and discrepancies
    Mastery experience using Financial Management System (FMS), the Defense Travel System and Total Workforce Management System to extract data to conduct financial analyses
    Mastery experience preparing briefings for senior leadership
