    • Potential Temporary to Permanent position
    • Hybrid Work Opportunity, must be local resident
    • Initial 3-Month Contract, potential for Full-time conversion
    • Monday - Friday schedule

    **Must have experience in Payroll Tax**

    Responsibilities:

    • Completing and submitting new account registration forms to taxing authorities
    • Preparing and reconciling monthly payroll tax impound journal entries
    • Handling escalated tax tracers and liaising with tax authorities to resolve account issues
    • Conducting year-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy of Wage Statements and tax filings
    • Assisting in the reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts monthly
    • Following up on newly established state accounts and informing Third-Party vendors of new account details and SUI rates
    • Conducting periodic and quarterly tax reconciliations to verify the accuracy of tax filings
    • Auditing tax accounts for activity and coordinating the closure of inactive accounts
    • Communicating with clients, partners, and external parties regarding tax and payroll matters
    • Aiding in updating tax accounts related to mergers, consolidations, and divestitures
    • Performing necessary tax and stock reclassifications as required
    • Assisting in the filing of tax returns and amendments that third-party vendors cannot handle
    • Participating in year-end activities as necessary
    • Performing additional duties and projects as assigned

    Minimum Skills and Knowledge:

    • Solid understanding of payroll tax and payroll processing software, preferably ADP Enterprise
    • Working knowledge of General Ledger Accounting
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
    • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Capability to establish processes leading to satisfactory audit practices
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
