    Duties

    We are looking to add an experienced underwriter to our growing Management & Professional Liability Underwriting Team in the Bala Cynwyd, PA office.

    Under moderate direction and supervision, underwrites and markets management and professional liability products through independent agents and wholesale brokers, including D&O, E&O and Cyber products and provides intermediate levels of risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise to determine underwriting acceptability.

    Assists with gathering and analyzing information, applies appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of acceptability of risk.

    Participates in marketing activities within the region to promote the development of new business.
    Participates in the producer management process which may include, but is not limited to, premium collections.
    Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits.
    May ensure credit quality of accounts managed while maintaining and updating underwriting files.
    Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions.
    Duties

    Bachelor's degree; minimum of 3 years of related industry/underwriting experience with a carrier or broker, 5 years preferred (D&O, E&O, Cyber preferred); an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

    Strong degree of organization and attention to detail.
    Analytical, results-oriented and possess a high sense of urgency.
    Must have demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience.
