    We are looking for an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) professional to join our team as a Health Safety Specialist on a full-time, direct basis at our office in New York, NY. This person will be assigned to projects at client sites in NYC and the surrounding areas (including Northern NJ).

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Assist with program performance reporting and data management.
    • Support employee access to safety training and safety equipment.
    • Oversee administrative workplace incident responses.
    • Contribute to writing and reviewing safety procedures (new existing).
    • Respond to employee concerns (when related to Health Safety).
    • Support the development of materials for increased employee awareness and engagement in workplace safety.
    • This person may be required to participate in special projects on occasion, which involve field work.
    • Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
    Basic Requirements:
    • Associate's degree (or higher) in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, EHS, Safety Management, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of professional experience working with EHS-related tasks (preferably with OHS (Occupational Health Safety) responsibilities).
    • ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification, at a minimum (CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certifications are preferred).
    This person may be expected to work in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • OSHA credentials (e.g.: OSHA 30-hr Construction Outreach Training; OSHA 500/510; OSHA 501/51; etc.).
    • Experience with Health Safety program reporting / project coordination, especially as an external OHS Consultant.
    • Experience with Industrial Hygiene projects (e.g.: asbestos, lead, mold, etc.); experience with testing remediation for hazardous materials is a plus
    • Proficiency with basic computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability.
    • Experience reviewing and updating Hazard Communication Plans, Compliance Audits, Safety Training, and Incident Reporting guidelines.
    • Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
    • Excellent communication skills (written verbal); public speaking experience is a plus
    TARGET SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $110,000 (per year)
