    33.97$ hourly

    Position is grant funded with employment contingent upon continued grant funding.


    Under general supervision of the Health Department performs administrative work of moderate difficulty in the management the vaccine equity grant; performs related work as assigned.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    :

    TYPICAL DUTIES
    :

    Develops and implements procedures, operations, assessment, proposals, and marketing related to the vaccine equity grant goals and guidelines;
    Coordinates and supervises program requirements with grant reporting, and staff coordination;
    Organizes community-based meetings, and outreach activities to achieve program goal of vaccine equity throughout Cochise County;
    Collaborates with county/community entities to promote vaccinations through community outreach activities;
    Provides community education and counseling to clients for proper vaccination strategies and spearheads specific programs according to program protocols guidelines and current research;
    Coordinates and collaborates with community organizations, schools and agencies to provide services for increasing awareness of vaccines;
    Ensures all contractual requirements of the vaccine equity grant are met; prepares and delivers monthly, quarterly and annual reports for program services;
    Prepares detailed monthly and weekly calendars with times for office, meetings and sites;
    Performs long range planning and research for current information relevant to the vaccine equity grant.
    Maintains records, analyzes program financial needs; gathers baseline data related to program goals;
    Evaluates effectiveness of programs and presentations; compiles and updates resource lists; responsible for appropriate staff levels and related training requirements
    coordinates all program activities, makes recommendations, supervises staff as assigned.

    A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education and a minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience; or a licensed nurse with equivalent experience in public health and vaccine supervision; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.


    An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    :

    Preference may be given to individuals who read, write, and speak Spanish
    Considerable knowledge of:

    principles and practices of office administration, management, and supervision;

    staff research work, business English, and report writing federal, state and local policies, procedures, manuals and protocol related to the program.

    Good knowledge of:

    program management;
    budget preparation and maintenance;
    public relations and public information techniques;
    proposal development;
    principles and practices of economics/marketing.

    Working knowledge of:

    records managementoperations;
    needs, problems, and behavioral patterns of the focus population;
    statistical surveying techniques and their application;
    community social service resources;
    guidelines, regulations, and statutes affecting the program;
    word processors, microcomputer systems and other office machines.

    Skill in:

    marketing services to the community;
    communicating effectively.

    Ability to:

    represent the department, division, or the program;
    travel within the region as required providing services;
    develop program materials, trainings;
    attend necessary staff meetings, program-related meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences (when appropriate);
    apply pertinent rules and regulations;
    work well with people of varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds;
    establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public;
    follow written and verbal instruction;
    read, write and speak English;
    communicate effectively verbally and in writing.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    :

    Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    :

    Essential functions of this position require:

    lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
    Sedentary Work:

    Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    Mental Application:

    Utilizes memory for details and verbal instructions, requires emotional stability, critical thinking and adaptability; creative problem-solving skills are important.
