    We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Azure Security Monitoring team, which is responsible for building large scale microservices that collect and process terabytes of data every day to protect and keep Microsoft Azure secure.

    In this role, you will help in designing and building critical infrastructure which will focus on protecting and securing the compute resources in Azure and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of security at Microsoft.

    Required/Minimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident responseo OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.3+ years of experience programming in C# or Python or Scala Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Security Operations Engineering IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
