- Work directly with Project Manager/Engineer of Record in the development of project design, calculations, and developing assessment reports
- Performs analysis of existing structures
- Develop drawings or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations
- Assists in project coordination and meetings with the internal and external team members
- Reviews project submittals and shop drawings
- Visits projects during construction to learn construction practices and to provide on-site construction observation
- Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving
- Interacts with higher level engineers and design technicians.
- Attends client, architect, and contractor meetings
- Learns to engage with potential clients to expand business relationships
- Performs calculations per design specifications and industry standards
- Utilizes Structural Design Software, such as RAM Structural Systems, ETBAS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and TEKLA
- Shares information across all disciplines to confirm deliverables are compliant with client expectations and established quality standards
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of related experience or Master's in Civil Engineering
- BIM training or experience a plus.
- EIT preferred.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities presented.

What You Will Do:
We are looking for a full-time, entry-level Structural Staff Engineer to join our growing team out of our Charlotte office. This position will design structures, structural elements, or structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, historical, public sector, adaptive reuse, and renovations.
