    Description

    SAIC is looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Enterprise Architect candidate who will play a crucial role in aligning our organization's IT infrastructure with its strategic business objectives.

    This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture that supports and advances our mission and business processes.

    Your role will be instrumental in guiding the integration of IT and business strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering innovation within the organization.


    Job responsibilities mainly include:


    Align IT strategies and initiatives with organizational goals, facilitating the integration of business and IT planning to support strategic objectives.


    Architecture Development:

    Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture models that reflect the organization's current and desired future state, ensuring a strategic path for technology evolution.

    Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to identify and understand organizational challenges and operational inefficiencies.

    Serve as a key interface between IT and business units, gathering requirements, understanding business processes, and ensuring the enterprise architecture meets the needs of the entire organization.

    Follow governance frameworks to oversee IT investments and initiatives, ensuring they align with the enterprise architecture and meet compliance standards.

    Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements.

    Proactively identify IT risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure secure and reliable system operations in compliance with industry best practices.

    Implement performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of the IT architecture in achieving business objectives, driving continuous improvement.
    Advocate for the rationalization and standardization of technologies and applications, promoting shared services and interoperability to enhance operational efficiency.

    Discovers and defines functional requirements and their relationship to technical requirements; and determines the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition for the priorities of the department and organization.

    Supports the development of enterprise architectural strategies, standards, processes, and tools, as well as the development of strategy, frameworks, best practices, and patterns.

    Qualifications
    B.S.

    in technology field computer science, electrical engineering, information systems management, or related field of study AND 8 years of experience, or demonstrate 12 years of equivalent experience in a related field.

    Experience with cloud architecture, cloud solutioning, networking, security, compliance, migration patterns and tools.

    Experience in working within environments that employ Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and are structured around a DevOps culture.

    Experience with software development suites like GitLab and experience with code version control systems
    Experience with any of the following CSPs: AWS, Azure, Oracle, GCP
    Experience with STIG and remediating vulnerabilities and vendor best practices
    Good leadership qualities to instruct and lead junior engineers, administrators, and technicians
    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    Knowledge and understanding of how to leverage various services for computing, storage, database management, and networking.
    Understand the principles of DevOps and its integration with cloud services. Proficiency in tools like Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

    Certifications (minimum of 1 of the following)

    GCP, Azure, or AWS Cloud certifications
    Security+

    CISSP
    CCSP Certified Cloud Security Professional


    Citizenship / Clearance Qualifications:
    US Citizenship Required
    Must be able to obtain DHS Public Trust prior to starting

    Target salary range:
    $135,001 - $145,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.


    Covid Policy:
    SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
