- We are seeking a Laboratory Technician in Richmond, VA, responsible for conducting initial analysis on urine and oral specimens for substances of abuse according to SAMSHA, CAP-PUDT, and other regulatory guidelines.
- 5-Month Contract with potential extension based on performance
- Location: Richmond, VA 23236
- Operate and maintain Screening Instrument.
- Troubleshoot screening instrument issues.
- Complete work assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure donor information confidentiality.
- Follow guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
- Advanced understanding of analytical techniques, laboratory instrumentation, and certification requirements.
- Basic knowledge of Laboratory Information System (LIS) and drug testing.
- High school education and BS degree in science or related field.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and have full-body movement.
- Corrected vision and hearing.
- Advanced understanding of analytical techniques, laboratory instrumentation, certification requirements, and LIS.
- Math and reasoning skills for procedure development and reporting.
- Stress management skills.
- Effective communication and ability to provide recommendations.
