Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in different types of trucks and driving techniques will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, for amazon
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly.
- Follow proper procedures for securing loads and handling specialized freight such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with route driving responsibilities.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently and safely using equipment like forklifts when required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, logs, and documentation accurately.
- Physical ability to perform the demands of long hours on the road and handling heavy loads.
