$27.78/hr minimum - $41.67/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)
Position Summary
• Responsible for assisting with supervising and coordinating operations of
electroencephalograph machines and produce EEG tracings for use in the
diagnosis of neurological disorders and EVP monitors during surgery when
intraoperative evoked potential monitoring is required in any medical situation
where they may be a significant risk of serious neurological complication.

documents as required.

unit/department based programs that supports the system's process
improvement goals.
o Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.
• Staffing
o Manages the unit/department effectively in regard to staff supervision,
including scheduling and evaluation.
• Role Specific Responsibilities
o Evaluates effectiveness of unit/department-based programs and
processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
o Coordinates departmental orientation, training and teaching activities
of new employees.
o Coordinates workflow to utilize personnel effectively.
o Coordinates competency activities within department including initial
training, 6 month competency and annual competency, as required by
SIH and accrediting organization.
o Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for laboratory procedures,
processes and instruments.
o Instructs and prepares patient for EEG tests.
o Performs EEG procedures and processes studies.
o Provides necessary readings and makes a record of readings for review
o Maintains EEG/IOM equipment, electrodes, supplies, documentation
and charging responsibilities.
o Completes documenting and charging responsibilities, report process
Provides neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring in the OR, primary tech in set-up and technical support to other technicians.
o Reports results to the physician for interpretation, trouble shooting, monitoring and provides basic maintenance to the equipment.
o Performs Intraoperative Monitoring.
o Assists the physician in performing standard and complex Nerve Conduction and EMG procedures.
o Recognizes clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results.
o Reviews literature and attends educational meetings for the latest accepted practices and electrical safety relevant to equipment and testing.
o Maintains continuing education requirements earned through ASET, ASNM, or ACNS
o Establishes policies and procedures according to established standards of practice and participates in tutoring, demonstrating and mentoring other team members.
o Serves as liaison for Neurodiagnostic EEG staff activities including training, team building, process improvement initiatives, and problem resolution; elevating to manager as needed.

Education
• High School Diploma
Licenses and Certification
• CPR/BLS
• Registered in Intraoperative Nerve Monitoring (IOM) (Preferred)
• EEG/CERT – R. EEG T (Preferred)
• Must obtain R. EEG T. certification within 1 year of hire
• Must obtain IOM certification within 1 year of hire
Experience and Skills
• Technical Experience: 2 years
• Supervisory Experience: 1 years
