    The Department of Neurology and the Center for Clinical Neurosciences at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana are seeking a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist to serve as an Epileptologist or Epilepsy Director.

    Academic rank at Tulane University School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience.

    Primary appointment will be in the Department of Neurology, within the Center for Clinical Neurosciences that integrates the efforts of over 40 Tulane-employed neurology and neurosurgery faculty.

    The Director will join an existing epilepsy program that includes four faculty trained in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, and an epilepsy neurosurgeon.

    The Director will be responsible for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Tulane Medical Center, and grow its census and expand its services.

    The Director will also provide intraoperative neurophysiological support for epilepsy surgeries.

    The Director will also develop an outpatient practice in epilepsy, with a focus on medically refractory cases and surgical candidates, and rotate on the EEG reading and call schedule at a frequency commensurate with her/his peers.

    This position will also provide opportunities for clinical trials and fellowships.
