Summary

Who may apply: Current, permanent DFAS employees in the competitive service, eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference applicants and current DFAS VRA employees.

Duties

• Provides professional accounting services in the interpretation and application of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
• Provides analyses and reconciliations related to complex accounting functions which have very high visibility, involve more than one system and involve a large number of transactions cross-leveling interrelated systems.
• Monitors performance measurement and financial management information indicators for assessing the operational health of the organization and the accounts managed.
• Provides interpretation on DOD, OMB, Treasury, and DFAS regulatory and administrative guidelines in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles relating to the accounting for the execution of public funds.
• Interprets, reviews, evaluates, tests, adapts, and/or implements DoD, DA, or DFAS policies, procedures, guidance and systems.
