- The Medical Director of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Service Line ensures high levels of clinical outcomes, customer service, and productivity in collaboration with the System Director of Operations.
- Provides medical oversight, leadership, and accountability within the assigned areas.
- Offers mentorship and guidance to physicians and advanced providers (APs) to enhance patient care quality.
- Meets behavioral expectations outlined in the Lee Health Medical Staff Physician Compact.
- Implements quality, strategic, and operational initiatives.
- Manages physicians and APs within the Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine divisions.
- Builds strong relationships with the Lee Health medical staff and supports the Lee Physician Group (LPG) leadership team.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Director:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Candidate must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school and residency program.
Experience:
Preferred one to two years of physician leadership experience.
State of Florida Licensure:
Candidate must have an unrestricted, active license to practice medicine in Florida.
Certifications:
Candidate must be board certified in pulmonary and critical care.
Other:
Candidate must be eligible to provide services for Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare programs. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
