Full Time needed
Our company is seeking a dynamic and organized Central Supply Clerk to join our growing team
The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining inventories of supplies and equipment needed throughout our facility. The Central Supply Clerk will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment to various departments in the facility.
Central Supply Clerk Key Responsibilities:
- Check supply areas daily and stocks with required items.
- Fill requisitions from the nursing department for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure facility has adequate emergency supplies.
- Maintain records of all supply transactions and regularly update the inventory system.
- Perform regular audits of the central supply room to ensure that it is clean and organized.
- Keep track of the expiration dates of all medical supplies and equipment to ensure that they are not used beyond their stated shelf life.
- Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared signed and submitted as required in procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate claims on damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc. and returns to vendor as required.
- Follow process to ensure supplies are tracked and charged appropriately.
- Checks invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc., against incoming merchandise.
- Ensures defective equipment is identified for maintenance repair as required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all supplies and equipment are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
Central Supply Clerk Qualifications:
- Must have prior Central Supply experience.
- Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in the English language.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills and great problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of budgeting processes, awareness of profit & loss concepts.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize.
