    Description

    NEW Permanent IR Tech opening near Wellton, AZ

    Summary Responsibilities:

    • Performs routine and emergent interventional radiography procedures under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist, following department protocols for patients of all ages.
    • Ensures safe radiation dosing for patients, including adhering to image gently practices and completing all required quality assurance tasks.
    • Maintains a clean and safe workplace environment.
    • Conducts routine and emergent interventional radiography examinations, including obtaining and documenting patient history, using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), explaining procedures to patients, and obtaining consent.
    • Demonstrates professional flexibility in handling oncall and rotational scheduling demands.
    • Conducts a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures in sterile field environments as required by Radiologists.
    • Practices safe radiation techniques in compliance with ARRA regulations and licensing restrictions, particularly in minimizing dose exposures for vulnerable patient groups.
    • Applies theoretical knowledge to clinical situations, performs advanced skills, seeks consultation when needed, and adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by ensuring proper inventory control and prudent use of resources as directed by department leadership.
    • Performs any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in Radiologic Science or completion of a qualifying Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

    Credentials:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) credential.
    • Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) credential.

    Essential Certifications:

    • American Heart Association certification for Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • Certification from the Arizona Department of Health Services.
    • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
