Onsite in Bloomington, IL REQUIRED
Required Skills and Abilities:
5+ years of experience Creating Windows images
5+ years of working/ oubleshooting Operating System Deployment (OSD)
7+ years experience with workstations (desktop/laptops), Windows Operating System
oWindows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
oDrivers
oPowerShell
oInbox Apps
oImaging
oetc.
3+ years experience knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) Certificates and 802.11x authentication protocols.
oUnderstanding of network concepts and remote troubleshooting
3+ years of PowerShell 4 or later advanced scripting
3+ years of C# support and coding
Strong problem-solving skills and exceptionally good understanding of Windows registry
Ability to adapt to changing environment and priorities
Troubleshooting software installation failures and remote installations.

The OS is a 3rd level team that is a highly skilled group of technicians who provide end-to-end support for Microsoft Windows workstation devices at State Farm.
They work closely with the OS 2nd level team to handle complex issues that require advance troubleshooting skills and expertise.
In addition to solving issues, they also provide root cause analysis for incidents in the environment. Help trend and identify and mitigate potential issues before they become a problem.The team is also responsible for stewarding the windows workstation deployed to the environment, ensuring they are properly configured, secured, and maintained.
They work closely with other teams to ensure the windows workstations integrate smoothly into State Farm Infrastructure environment.Additional Roles:
Windows Workstation Steward
Review and Approve/Deny forms for supported workstation type. Examples include workstation requests like security access and software in the OS Image.
Help manage workstation profile
Manage/Update Drivers in Image and existing windows workstations
Manage/Update BIOS in Image
Represent Windows OS customers regarding enterprise workstation decisions
oKnowledge source providing information about available products
oFacilitate creation of workstation training / Job aids
oCommunicate client environment changes to business partners
Participate with Client Service Integration Team
Provide and maintain test images and process for areas to test workstation loads and products
Load and test workstations as needed physical access to GC lab for physical devices
Work any incidents or requests assigned to 3rd level workgroup

Responsibilities of 3rd level Windows OS Support
Windows OS System Administration:
Take charge of configurating, deploying and managing windows workstation OS-based systems across the organization. Implement and maintain security protocols, software updates, and system configurations to ensure performance and protection against vulnerabilities.
Technical Support:
Provide advanced technical support to end-users, address complex OS-related issues, and inquires. Act of point of escalation for Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, resolving critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Windows Workstations Management:
Ensure devices are correctly provisioned, updated and comply with the organizational policies and security standards.
This includes monthly updates to ensure procured hardware is added and released when devices end of life and need to be recycled.

Develop and maintain scripts to streamline windows OS deployment a
