Job Description:
Position Overview:
The
Manager of Nursing
provides direct patient care through the identification, implementation and evaluation of care built on nursing diagnosis and focused on goals mutually set by patients and families.
Provides clinical expertise to nurses and the staff who partner with nursing to provide cancer care services to patients and families.
Oversees management of the Clinical Supervisor, site nurses and medical assistants. Represents nursing in corporate initiatives to enhance care delivery and positioning in the health care environment.Desired/Required Qualifications:
Education:
Licensed RN in the State of Michigan.
Successful completion of competency based orientation program and chemotherapy certificate.
CPR certification or acquisition within 90 days of employment.
Specific skills & abilities:
Minimum of 1-year medical/surgical (preferably oncology).
BSN, OCN, >3 year of oncology experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Providing advanced treatments and compassionate care close to home.
