- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech and language goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and facilitate generalization of skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Virginia state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
