    Compensation

    Salary Range:
    $100,700 - $142,929 (Grade C - 677 hay points)
    Responsibilities
    This position is responsible for assisting the Technology Project Management Officer in all Paratransit Intelligent Transportation Systems.

    The incumbent will handle any Automatic Vehicle Location Monitoring (AVLM) facility issues at all carrier locations and serve as the liaison between AVLM contractor and Access-A-Ride (AAR) carriers.

    Monitor ServiceMax system which tracks vehicle maintenance for the AVLM. Assist vendor with equipment configuration, testing and installation. Recommend and direct any enhancements to systems and advise on new vehicle prototype. Maintain constant changes of AAR vehicles in software. Update vehicle inventory with AVLM vehicle installations and retirements. Monitor Verizon wireless systems network.

    Be on call 24/7 to coordinate all system issues such as AVLM, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Adept Scheduling, Customer Information Systems, etc.

    Handle software, hardware, local network and telecommunications issues between Paratransit, MTA IT and service providers. Assist desktop users having AVLM issues in the Command Center, carrier locations and other Paratransit groups. Maintain AVLM supervisory logon IDs and provide CAD/AVL accounts to Flashback and Broadcast features. Assist with version updates/fixes to MDT and CAD/AVLM software. Conduct testing with Bus-in-a-Box (BIAB). Be accountable for AVLM equipment stored at carrier providers.

    Conduct presentations and prepare reports to update Senior Management on the status of projects and meet with outside agencies to obtain data, coordinate studies and prepare reports.

    Represent Paratransit on technology for operating/capital meetings and ensure that Paratransit's data and voice communication requirements are met.
    Education and Experience

    • A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Computer Science or a satisfactory equivalent and eight (8) years of full-time, paid, related experience, with at least five (5) years in a managerial/supervisory/administrative capacity; or
    • A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education/experience requirements.
