The Quality Assurance Manager ensures all regulatory customer and internal quality standards are met This role leads the QA and Sanitation teams oversees food safety programs manages audits documentation compliance efforts Key Responsibilities Lead QA and Sanitation teams Maintain compliance with HACCP FSMA USDA FDA GFSI standards Conduct internal audits manage third-party inspection readiness Oversee lab operations QA testing microbiological chemical organoleptic Investigate customer complaints implement corrective actions Manage QA budget lab inventory Collaborate with plant leadership improve sanitation GMPs Generate reports track KPIs quality metrics Requirements Essential 10+ years experience in the food industry including 5+ years in quality management Strong understanding of food safety regulations USDA FDA FSMA etc Experience managing regulatory agency interactions updates Food manufacturing experience Internal Audit Certification with 1–3 years auditing experience Proven ability hire lead manage teams effectively Strong leadership cross-functional collaboration skills Excellent communication interpersonal organizational presentation skills Strong analytical problem-solving abilities Desirable Exposure or experience Supply Quality Programs Six Sigma certification Green Belt Black Belt higher Broad knowledge quality assurance concepts practices procedures
