- Approximate Base Salary – $90, $125,000.00 based on experience.
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.

- Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
- Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.
- Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills, including but not limited to: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and communication system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
- Work independently and supervise the efforts of a small team.
- Manage and participate in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Possess intermediate level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer‐aided drafting and Revit, (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).
- Able to work independently as well as in high functioning teams.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
- Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.
- Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited college or university
- PE Required
- Minimum five years working experience in Fire Protection Engineering (consulting)
- General building construction knowledge
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with five or more years of working experience, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.
You would be providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, life-safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis and special inspection as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
