    Job Description:
    Field Engineering Specialist is responsible for operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the complete spectrum of avionics systems and proprietary communication systems incorporated in aircraft
    Also maintains, repairs, tests and/or calibrates various types of aircraft electronic equipment and related devices such as transmitters, amplifiers, receivers, RF distribution equipment, computer controllers, and workstations on operational aircraft
    Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles and strong knowledge in troubleshooting techniques to determine mission equipment malfunctions and restore aircraft mission systems to full operational status
    Installs and maintains Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) modifications to the aircraft and advises operations and maintenance personnel on their use
    Performs work in accordance with technical manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions

    Please note:
    This position is NOT a rotational position
    For example, there will NOT be periods/months, etc., where an individual is considered off-rotation
    This is a fulltime, 40 hours+ work week, position which will be based in Fayetteville, NC

    Job Qualification Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
    Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
    In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.


    • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance investigated within the last six years.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of operational procedures, inspection requirements, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques on aircraft communications/navigation and ancillary electronics systems.
    • Desired Skills include ability to work with a wide range of technical reference material from commercial/OEM manuals to blueprints/engineering drawings.
    • Physical requirements of the job include lifting, bending, and climbing.
    • Must pass FAA Class III medical exam.
    • Flight status is a requirement.
    • Position may require travel in excess of 50% of the time.
