JOB OBJECTIVE
As a team member of Post Ranch Inn, the Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure a world class guest experience by delivering the highest quality of cleanliness for the property in a timely manner and to continue the long-term success of offering unparalleled hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping staff
- Conducts continual inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to determine hotel's overall level of cleanliness and perform follow-up
- Holds team members accountable to the standards of employment and job performances set by Post Ranch Inn
- Trains Housekeepers and Laundry team members as needed
- Communicates guest service scores to team members to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
- Assumes functions of Housekeeper as necessary
- Coordinate evening service for guests.
- Identify maintenance issues, initiate work orders with the engineering department, and follow up to ensure repairs are completed.
- Address guest requests and respond immediately to complaints, special requests, and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain the housekeeping office in an orderly manner, reflecting the high standards of the department.
- Work closely with the Front Office to ensure luxury resort customer service.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Ideal candidates will have prior housekeeping, laundry, or janitorial supervisory experience.
- Must have a proven track record of providing unique guest experiences.
- Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace).
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Valid California driver's license
- This position requires exposure to elements such as changing weather conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
- Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
- Kneeling/Crawling: Constantly. Completing tasks throughout the hotel
- Reaching: Constantly
Pay range for the Housekeeping Supervisor position is $ $23.00 per hour
