    Cypress Grove Post Acute is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Jackson, Tennessee, offering 170 certified beds. The facility is both Medicare- and Medicaid-certified, providing services such as long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized support, including dietary planning and therapy.

    Position Overview:
    The Laundry Staff provide the day-to-day activities of the laundry department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that an adequate supply of laundry/linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

    • Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
    • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
    • Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing laundry procedures.
    • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and/or hazardous wastes or chemicals.
    • Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning. Refer to manufacturer's instructions when necessary.
    • Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
    • Previous experience in laundry, EVS, or housekeeping preferred.
    • Basic ability to follow written and oral instructions.
    • Ability to use laundry and cleaning equipment safely and properly.
    • Good physical stamina: ability to lift, bend, push/pull, stand, walk for extended periods.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards.
    • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
    • Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team.
    • Reliable attendance, punctuality.
    • Must pass background check and health screening as required by state/facility.
