    DEPARTMENT/ POSITION SUMMARY

    Work in an Engineering environment contributing to the design and manufacture of leading-edge Process Automation for the eCommerce and process automation industries.Fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Include Budget, P&L, and People Management Responsibilities, as appropriate)

    Design-for-manufacturing electrical, power and controls systems and/or subsystems for AC and DC systems, UL and CE compliant systems. Support build and implementation on prototypes and production systems. Support project management, production and purchasing.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Include Budget, P&L, and People Management Responsibilities, as appropriate)

    • Support the design of electrical related to systems/subsystems, including conveyors, robotics, pulleys, linear guides, steel framing, drivetrains, and pneumatic subassemblies using analysis and computer-aided design.
    • Support the development and test of prototypes for designed product.
    • Support the manufacturing process for designed product.
    • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and achieve set targets
    • Ability / willingness to get their hands dirty.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines throughout the organization to effectively identify and resolve technical issues and take ownership for driving these issues to closure
    • Ability to perform new product design reviews and enforce quality and manufacturing standards required.

    Create and/or ACAD electrical drawings, schematics, and assemblies

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS

    • Reports to VP Engineering

    QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS)

    • BSEE degree.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in related field.
    • Degree desired but strong work experience considered.
    • Experience in the design of electrical power circuits, distribution panels, and cabling/harnesses strongly preferred.
    • Practical/hands on experience designing electrical systems/subsystems and cable assembly for troubleshooting and prototype development/testing.
    • Expeirence in Allen Bradley and RS Logix as used for material handling and machine control programming.
    • Comfortable with assembly of electro-mechanical components with related tooling
    • Effective at working in teams.
    • Comfortable and experienced being a technical lead for electrical design and representing the organization during briefings, equipment demonstrations, test events, etc.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

    DESIRED:

    • Experienced in Allen Bradley and RS Logix as used for material handling and machine control programming is required.
    • Familiarity with Material Handling industry, technologies, and components.
    • Familiarity with Material Handling suppliers.
