CNC Mill Machinist DESCRIPTION:

The CNC Machinist role involves precise setups on vertical milling machines, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, using calibrated tools, and following company work instructions.

CNC Mill Machinist ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Set up and operate CNC mill for production.
• Monitor machine operation for malfunctions, adjust controls as needed.
• Handle DNC communications and tool programs.
• Inspect and measure parts based on setup book guidelines.
• Manage tool changes according to tool life system.
• Adhere to company procedures and best practices.
• Perform assigned duties and ensure safety compliance.

CNC Mill Machinist EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years CNC milling experience in manufacturing; OR,
• 2 years CNC experience with machining certificates and an Associates in Manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CNC operations and G & M codes interpretation.
• Experience in tool adjustments and job setups.
• Reading part drawings and applying GD&T concepts.
• Competency in using various measuring tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6S concepts.
• Basic computer skills and Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

CNC Mill Machinist PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, close vision required.
• Color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment necessary.

CNC Mill Machinist WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Exposure to machinery and potential hazards, protective equipment required.
• Noise levels, chemicals exposure, and machine risks present.
• PPE must be worn when dealing with hazardous materials.
