What We're Looking For In You

• A current student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about networks, systems, and infrastructure tools
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a technical, fast-paced environment

Your Role as an IT Infrastructure Intern
This internship will focus on supporting the IT Infrastructure team with daily operations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance while learning the foundational components of Alterman's technology environment.
Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Assist with basic setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network devices
• Help monitor system performance, network connectivity, and device health
• Support troubleshooting activities by diagnosing user issues and documenting findings
• Participate in routine tasks such as patching, updates, backups, and inventory tracking
• Assist with user account management tasks within Active Directory, O365, or Intune under supervision
• Observe and support infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server improvements, or device deployments
• Follow IT security practices and help ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergrad Junior status or above
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to work within the hours of Monday through Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm
• Hours will vary and can be worked around course schedules.
