    Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the PROJECT ENGINEER position with our Operational Services and Support department located at our corporate office in Nashville, TN.

    This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety and excellence throughout all job functions.

    Job Summary

    Mechanical and civil design of production facilities related to the aggregate and mineral processing industry. Understand the design and process flow of production facilities related to the aggregate and mineral processing industries. Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, detailed designs, and schedules. Assist in full project management of upgrade and replacement projects in aggregate and asphalt plants.

    The person who accepts this assignment will be responsible for meeting the challenge of growth-oriented assignments and interacting with a wide-range of people ranging from company executives to external agencies, and contractors.

    Essential Functions


    • Project planning, permitting, cost estimating, design, drafting, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting
    • Providing detailed designs for plant retrofit and modification projects
    • Assist in the coordination of outside engineering, fabrication, and erection services
    • Preparing proposals, cost estimates and justifications for future work
    • May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform other duties not listed
    • Bachelor's degree in appropriate technical field; degreed Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer or Mining Engineer preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of related engineering experience preferred
    • Aggregate industry experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of structural, civil, and mechanical design of aggregate processing plants or related field
    • Working knowledge of concrete foundation designs and power transmission systems
    • Working knowledge of surveying and drafting equipment
    • Strong detail drafting and steel design with drafting software such as AutoCAD or Inventor
    • Working knowledge of MS Windows systems (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with erection, modification and rebuild of aggregate and asphalt plants or similar production facilities
    • Experience with design and aligning production needs with plant capacities
    • Ability to analyze production processes using tools such as AggFlow and identify enhancements that eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency
