- Provide direct and personalized care to children with special medical needs, following the directives of the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by pediatricians or specialists.
- Continuously monitor the health status of children and report any significant changes to the medical team and parents or guardians.
- Assist in coordinating and performing specific medical procedures for each patient, including physical or occupational therapies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of the care provided, as well as any relevant observations regarding the child's progress.
- Collaborate closely with parents or guardians to provide emotional support, education, and guidance on caring for the child at home.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate the comprehensive care of the child and establish treatment goals.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all PPEC patients.
- Valid licensure as an RN (Registered Nurse), LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or HHA (Home Health Aide), as appropriate.
- Previous experience in pediatric care or similar settings highly valued.
- Sensitivity and understanding towards the unique needs of children with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with both children and their families effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to participate in training and professional development programs.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the pediatric specialized healthcare environment.
