    Electrical Engineering Technician

    Our client is seeking a versatile, self-motivated, and experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Electrical Engineering Department in creating world-class electrical designs for robotic systems targeted for the Defense and Security markets.

    The candidate must have extensive experience in assembling, reworking, testing, debugging, and repairing PCBAs (SMT & thru-hole) and cable assemblies.

    Responsibilities also include management of the EE Lab, quoting and ordering prototype parts and assemblies, and support of various testing and data collection activities.

    The successful candidate will enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team of some of the best and brightest engineers, supporting the analysis, design, documentation, testing, and manufacturing of complex robotic systems.

    Responsible for all aspects of the Electrical Engineering lab including circuit board assembly/rework, ordering and stocking of parts and assemblies, and selection and purchase of lab tools and equipment.

    Fill a vital role supporting the design and development of robotic vehicles and controllers as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

    Enable the delivery of prototypes and shippable hardware at a fast pace to meet short-term customer obligations and achieve a competitive advantage.

    Coordinate activities between engineering and external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

    Provide detailed technical feedback to the engineering team on the feasibility of rework, product design improvements, and test results.

    Work independently on project tasks as well as with other team members across multiple disciplines (mechanical, software, and systems engineering).

    5+ years constructing circuit cards, cable harnesses, prototypes, and custom test stations.

    5+ years of experience working with test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, function generators, active loads, and data acquisition systems.

    Must be highly engaged, flexible, responsive, and proactive.
    Must be flexible, pay attention to detail, and work under pressure during periods of peak work volume.
    Ability to independently conduct board or system-level testing and create detailed written test reports.
    Experience using ECAD applications for viewing schematic drawings and PCB layouts, preferably in Altium.
    Experience with MS Office Suite Tools
    Associate Degree in electronics or other 2-4 year technical degree, or equivalent military technical school.
    Experience with robotic systems.
    Experience with writing, modifying, and testing code for microcontrollers.
    Experience with PTC Windchill PLM system.
    Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and OneNote tools.
