Position: Radiologic Technologist at UCLA Healthcare

JOB DUTIES:

Play a significant role in delivering high-quality patient care within an esteemed health system. Your expertise will be crucial in making a positive impact on people's lives. As a Radiologic Technologist Per Diem (RTPD) under the supervision of the General Diagnostic Manager and Medical Director, you will be responsible for producing diagnostic images using various radiographic equipment. You will handle radiographic, fluoroscopic, and mobile equipment following established protocols. This role involves performing radiographic procedures on patients of all age groups efficiently and with care. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality, providing pre-examination education to patients, and ensuring proper equipment set-up.

Assist in sterile technique procedures when necessary
Support Radiologists as required
Adhere to quality assurance protocols
Respect patient dignity and privacy
Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures

The Radiologic Technologist is expected to work across various UCLA healthcare radiology locations in Santa Monica and Westwood. To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association or an equivalent program. Maintaining current CRT, CRT – Fluoro, and ARRT licensure is essential. The salary range for this position is competitive.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

As an ideal candidate, you should have the following qualifications:

ARRT certification – mandatory
CRT license – mandatory
Fluoroscopic permit – mandatory
BCLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – mandatory
Graduate of a JCERT approved Radiologic Technologist Program
Ability to adapt to technological advancements
Recognize contraindications for exams
Effective communication with referring services, physicians, and patients
Knowledge of clinical billing (IDX codes) for accurate accounting
Proficiency in medical terminology
Independent decision-making skills
Strong telephone etiquette
