    Supports supply chain functions in the business unit. Leads site team that is responsible for purchase order creation, purchase order management, delivery assurance and exception message management.

    In collaboration with strategic sourcing supply chain management negotiates and purchases materials, equipment, supplies and services from vendors and subcontractors, and evaluate vendor quotes against negotiated commercial terms and material requirements.

    Maintain MRP system item planning parameters (lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, ROP etc.), Implements best practices, collaborates with supply chain manager, strategic sourcing team, and director of operations.

    Generate and maintain purchase orders and other required documentation in support of MRP for manufacturing and R&D activities.
    Leads the weekly material review meetings updating manufacturing and management on material status for in-work activities.

    In collaboration with strategic sourcing team supports all phases of material sourcing including vendor identification/selection/qualification and material planning and analysis.

    In collaboration with strategic sourcing team, supports vendor negotiations, and contracts for best price/best value and other terms and conditions in support of business unit plan.

    Track, monitor and expedite part shortages ensuring uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer.
    Manage vendor issues regarding quality, delivery, cost, and other contractual obligations.

    Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to management for continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, purchasing and inventory management & control.

    Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits related to sourcing and supplier quality.
    Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of recent and relevant business experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with product data management and configuration management processes
    Demonstrate superior ability to perform job with minimal supervision.
    Analyze and resolve moderately complex problems, demonstrated experience with root cause analysis for problem solving.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with excellent Excel skills.
    Demonstrated electronic and mechanical component purchasing experience required.
    Experience in use of purchasing cards including timely statement reconciliation.
    Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and manufacturing processes
    Product Lifecycle Management system experience

    Candidates must have experience analyzing material markets, negotiation skills, have experience with vendor on-site inspections, ISO regulations and procurement reporting systems.

    Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools and inventory management techniques dealing with traditional material management systems required.
