- Teaching 4 academic math classes and planning daily lessons to address the MA state frameworks with accommodations and modifications based on individual student needs.
- Serving as the case manager for 3 students. Case managers, which we call educational counselors, meet weekly for a full period one-on-one with the student, help them work towards their IEP goals, and serve as the main contact for the family (typically a weekly phone call).
- Teaching 2-3 elective classes a week which may include math support and may also include areas of your interest that are also high interest areas for students such as probability in games, logic puzzles etc.
- Current MA Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities 5-12.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of multi-sensory math instructional strategies using an integrated curriculum.
- Knowledge of the MA state frameworks using an integrated pathway for grades 7-12.
- Ability to use technology including the Google for Education suite of applications, Smartboards, and graphing calculators.
- Ability to use formative assessment to develop lessons targeted to student needs.
- Ability to implement accommodations and modifications based on student IEPs.
- Ability to write measurable IEP goals.
- Ability to collect data and use the data to report student progress towards IEP goals.
- Ability to connect with families and clearly communicate student progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff, including the school clinician and the speech-language pathologist and an interest in using a Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) method to support student growth both academically and socially-emotionally. Training in Collaborative Problem Solving will be provided in the first year of employment.

- Weekly consultation meetings with your supervisor and the speech and language pathologist and bi-weekly meetings with the school clinician to support you in your work with students.
- Frequent in-service professional development opportunities, as well as a $1,000 yearly stipend and appropriate related time off for professional development.
- To teach in our new space with Smartboards in every classroom.
