    What role you will play in our team

    • In this role, you will assist in the SSH department's operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory standards.
    • Will provide guidance to various departments on SSH matters and conduct regular inspections to maintain overall compliance.
    • Will lead SSH-related trainings, participate in assessments, and facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
    • Other duties may include administrative tasks assigned by the SSHE supervisor to support the department's objectives effectively.

    What you will do

    • Conduct frequent surveillance in the field to observe work activities and address unsafe behaviors and conditions accordingly.
    • Proactively analyze workforce incident trends and communicate relevant SSHE insights or key themes to assist the workforce in a better understanding of relevant hazards and safe work practices.
    • Prepare and deliver safety, health, and environmental training presentations to the workforce as needed.
    • Respond to emergency situations and incidents either during or after regular working hours, to provide technical assistance and advice.
    • Provide guidance to various departments on Safety, health and environmental matters and conduct regular inspections to maintain overall compliance
    • Lead SSHE-related trainings, participate in assessments, and facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
    • Perform any other administrative tasks assigned by the SSHE supervisor to support the department's objectives effectively.
    • Ensure the area office complies with safety regulations and standards, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly and effectively.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Functional Skills:

    • Emergency preparedness and response
    • Incident investigation and analysis
    • Safety regulations and standards
    • Fundamentals of health
    • Fundamentals of environmental management
    • Proficient in use of computers and programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Office

    Educational Requirements:

    • B.S. in safety or security preferred but not limited or 5 years of applicable work experience.
    • Minimum 8 years work experience in the oil and gas industry safety-related positions
    • English fluency in reading and writing
