    Job Description Summary:
    The Senior Accountant - Consolidations will assist with the accounting close and financial reporting process, assist in developing/enhancing internal controls compliance, and will have significant involvement in various aspects of both accounting operations and financial reporting

    Job Description:
    *This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: Assist the monthly close including the preparation of complex journal entries, financial metrics and general ledger reconciliations for multiple divisions and entities.

    Reconcile intercompany and interdivisional transactions and balances and prepare necessary elimination entries for consolidationEvaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies.

    Establish and maintain records of transactions where follow-up action is required and recommend action for closingPrepare general ledger account reconciliations for assigned accounts and ensure adherence to GAAP and completeness of financial activity.

    Maintain proper and complete accounting records and other files for area of responsibilityEstablish and maintain excellent working relationships with other business partners to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and controls.

    Support external audits such as financial, banking, and governmental by providing necessary documentation in a timely manner.

    Complete other responsibilities as assignedMinimum Skills and Experience Requirements:
    B.S./B.A. in /Accounting /Finance from a four-year university required3-5 years of experience.

    Supervisory experience not neededCPA and Public Accounting experience preferredGood understanding of accounting procedures and principlesExperience with large on-line integrated accounting systems preferredProficient in use of computer spreadsheet software and related applicationsAbility to organize work and handle multiple projects with concurrent deadlinesStrong analytical skillsEffective written and verbal English communication skills, including professional telephone mannerReliability, dependability, and flexibilitySOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
