    IFG-Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager responsible for driving the organization's financial strategy, analysis, and decision-making.

    This individual will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and senior management, to provide insights and guidance on commercial activities, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization.

    Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager

    Financial Analysis

    Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate the performance of various commercial initiatives, including pricing strategies, promotions, and product launches.

    Leads and oversees pricing efforts on competitive proposals, including preparing complex proposals in response to RFPs, including internal files for review and customer submittal files.

    CFM leads the entire pricing process, including working with the technical team to establish the level of effort.

    This includes reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting procurement materials such as RFPs and RFQs and distilling information to create business volume, including pricing summarized in Excel.

    Assess profitability, margin trends, and cost structures to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
    Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes and strategic planning.

    Pricing Strategy

    Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
    Work directly with the Business Development/Sales team to understand requirements in the RFP and lead pricing discussions.
    Create and set up business volume, including price narrative and pricing Excels in the RFP requested format.

    Ensure all elements of the business proposal are addressed in the proposal and submitted to the customer/deal desk to ensure a compliant business volume.

    Oversees and performs cost/price analyses, modeling, and estimates for complex, competitive proposal efforts consistent with company policies, FAR, and solicitation requirements.

    Supports rate analysis from a price-to-win perspective, including fringe, overhead, G&A, and profit/fee.

    Coordinate with the Sales department, proposal department, and business development team to lead the pricing effort for the new contract.

    Develop alternative Price Strategies to achieve the PTW and analyze potential investment decisions to create competitive advantages necessary for specific PWIN ranges, including modifying existing corporate structures/organizations.

    As a pricing lead, participate in Technical internal costing reviews to ensure the technical solution is in sync with pricing.

    Participated in any loss analysis and ran the Deal Desk.
    Post-award work with the budget office to do knowledge transfer.
    Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.

    Revenue Forecasting and Planning

    Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate revenue forecasts and budgets.
    Track performance against forecasts, identify variances and provide actionable recommendations to achieve financial targets.
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to align revenue targets and operational plans.

    Business Partnering


    Serve as a strategic partner to sales, marketing, and other commercial teams, providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.

    Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
    Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    Reporting and Presentation:
    Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
    Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely, highlighting fundamental drivers and recommendations.
    Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as needed.

    Requirements of the Commercial Finance Manager

    Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
    Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, or related roles.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
    Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software).
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
    Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and influence decision-making.
    Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset and ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
