We are currently only hiring for day shifts.
Northwest Habilitation Services of Portland is committed to helping clients with persistent mental illness overcome the challenges of daily living through our unique approach and experienced care team. This is not a caregiving position. You will most likely in the field be referred to as a Direct Support Specialist (DSS)

Help develop Calendaring skills to stay on track
As a DSS your job is to help our clients learn the skills needed to live and succeed in their community. You may work in group housing setups as well as in individual households.
Our skills-building program focuses on teaching and reinforcing these primary areas:
We use a Person-Centered approach utilizing a Support Plan (CCSP) tailored to the specific needs of the individual receiving services.
We teach and assist clients in accessing community resources such as food boxes, healthcare appointments and other services as appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients. Meets standards for documentation and accuracy of work.
Pay is typically 18-20 an hour with opportunities for bonuses and raises.
