Roles and Responsibilities
Program Insight
Our Thrive program, an alternative to Intercept, focuses on providing in-home intervention for youths and families, redirecting them away from deeper involvement with the juvenile justice system. This program targets at-risk youths, offering support that prevents the necessity of probation or court engagement, emphasizing family involvement and community-based solutions. Thrive leverages evidence-based strategies like Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to ensure the well-being of youths within their local communities.
Position Summary
Additional Details
The work schedule is flexible to align with clients' availability. Given the deep engagement with families, counselors may occasionally need to put in extended hours.
Counselors must possess a personal vehicle for work-related travel and carry liability insurance; mileage expenses are reimbursed.
Compensation
$58,000 annually, commensurate with educational background and clinical licensure.
Qualifications
Prerequisites
A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is mandatory
Acceptable degrees include social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other qualifications will undergo evaluation to determine eligibility.
Prior experience in crisis intervention with individuals or families is advantageous
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic computer literacy
Capability to manage a flexible schedule
