The Patient Service Specialist will consistently deliver exceptional customer service while actively performing all front office administrative tasks. Essential Functions
- **Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to ensure an outstanding patient experience**
- **Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a wide range of sensitive situations with patients and families**
- **Utilize critical thinking and make sound judgments in fast-paced settings, work effectively in a team, and independently with minimal supervision**
- **Handle patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection, and cash receipting with precision to enhance the patient experience**
- **Promote patient use of front-end technology during registration**
- **Maintain accurate and confidential patient information including insurance, billing, and payment details, and assist with billing procedures**
- **Show proficiency in emergency codes and responses, and comply with healthcare regulations**
- **Monitor inventory, stock medications, and handle emergency medications/equipment**
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of sitting for extended periods and working in a fast-paced office setting. Able to bend and lift up to 10 lbs.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Computer experience preferred
- Customer relations experience preferred
- Experience with Medical Records Software a plus
- Front desk practice experience preferred
