Job Description
Job DescriptionOur hospital is full-service small animal hospital offering the best in medical and surgical care. We have been a pillar in our community for over 30 years and have built an amazing and loyal client base. Our clients are well-educated and usually approve all recommended diagnostics and procedures. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and a brand-new ultrasound machine. We utilize 4 Paws Imaging for our diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms. We are fully paperless and use AVImark for our electronic medical records. Our hospital also offers grooming services.
Our doctors perform a variety of routine, advanced soft tissue surgeries, and dentistry.
Our surgery suite contains a heated adjustable table, suction, cautery, Cardell monitoring equipment, and we usually have two technicians assisting and monitoring during every surgery. Our dentistry equipment includes a Midmark dental machine and digital dental radiography. We also have a therapeutic laser, which is used daily for many conditions, including post-operatively, post-extractions, wound healing, and back pain. Cruciate patients are lasered twice a week for 4 weeks after surgery. Pre-operative lab work, IV catheter, and IV fluids are required for every anesthetic patient.
Most importantly, we have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported with a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio.
