    **Description**

    **CJE SeniorLife-Weinberg Community for Senior Living** is a premier assisted living campus in Deerfield that provides a warm, supportive environment with engaging life enrichment opportunities to enhance the lives of its residents. We help those who require care for rehab, dementia and long term assistance. We are part of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

    The primary purpose of the **Second Cook** job position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Chef, Manager, Dining Services and/or Director of Food Service to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

    **Shift Available**

    6:00am-2:30pm MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS

    $16.15/hr plus shift & weekend differentials

    **Requirements for Second Cook**

    Experience in cooking for large volume is preferred

    Experience in baking for large volume is preferred

    MUST HAVE COOKING EXPERIENCE

    Knowledge of basic food preparation skills

    Maintain work areas in a clean, sanitary, well organized manner

    Ability to work with others

    Perform other duties as assigned

    High school diploma or equivalent

    2 years of food service experience

    Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment
